Taunton Walking Cricket hub is a dynamic group based at Blackbrook Leisure Centre who meet three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Walking cricket is a social, active, fun, and enjoyable sport aimed encouraging seniors over the age of 50 to take part in recreational activity for their well-being.

The hub has five volunteers supporting the Somerset Cricket Foundation in its delivery of walking cricket, including people like Andy Jenkins and Lawrence Langston who are coordinating the Thursday sessions.

In addition to enjoying playing walking cricket together they are also a very social group who also recently enjoyed their Christmas meal at Oake Manor Golf Club.

Anyone who is interested should contact Mustafa Shaikh, SCF Community Activation Officer, on 01823 352266 or 07385 818493 and check the Somerset Cricket Foundation’s website.
