Cricket fans on the Isle of Wight are in for a treat as England fast bowling great Matthew Hoggard is set to appear at Ventnor Cricket Club.
The event, scheduled to be held on April 5, is part of the club’s 175th-anniversary celebrations and promises an evening of fascinating cricket stories and entertainment.

Hoggard, a key figure in England’s legendary 2005 Ashes-winning team, is renowned for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling.
With 93 international caps to his name, the Yorkshireman will share tales from his illustrious career, from his first domestic career match in first-class cricket in 1996, his time with England between 2000 and 2008 and his retirement at Leicestershire in 2013.
Tickets for the “An Evening with Matthew Hoggard” event, which begins at 6pm at Steephill, cost £35 per person and include a buffet meal.
