Playing last Thursday evening, Little Lever and Farnworth managed to avoid the heavy rain which fell the following day to get their Birtwistle Cup T20 quarter-final finished.
Batting first, Lever made 166 in their 20 overs, Cameron Murray opening the innings hitting 69 and being supported by Mukhtar Nasir in a half-century second-wicket partnership.

Towards the end of the innings, Curtis Anderton contributed a very useful 16 from nine balls.
For Farnworth, there were two wickets for deputy pro Lesba Ngope and Nakash Qumar.
Farnworth were well-placed at the end of the six-over powerplay with 50 runs for the loss of one wicket, Kian Rogerson with 26 off 17 balls.
However, despite Tayler Jay Heyes hitting 48, Farnworth fell behind the run rate needing 60 off the last six overs and lost their final four wickets for just 10 runs.
Andy Flear and Murray were the pick of the Lever bowlers with 4-37 and 3-21, respectively.
Little Lever were the first team into the last four and with the wet weather forcing the remaining ties to be postponed, they wait to discover who will join them this week.
Quarter-final fixtures: Tonight – Astley Bridge v Tonge; Friday – Read v Salesbury, Whalley v Padiham.
