The Somerset Women’s Academy were involved in a very close match when they hosted Durham in a three day game at Taunton Vale last week.
Batting first Somerset posted 350 for seven declared which included 132 from opener Leila Moledina off 229 balls with 22 fours and 67 off 82 deliveries from Ruby Davis who between them added 122 for the second wicket.

The opener was then joined by Jaz Westley and the pair put on 110 before Moldedina was out with the score on 317.
Westley stayed out in the middle until she was run out for 79 off 97 balls with 11 fours as Somerset declared.
Durham replied with 381 all out Olivia Barnes taking three for 67 while both Verity Clark and Westley took two wickets each.
Batting for a second time Somerset were all out for 180 of which Moldedina made 45, Westley 30 and Emma Phillipson 29.
Chasing 150 for victory Durham reached their target with one wicket remaining in 32.4 overs, Westley taking four for 35 off nine overs and one maiden.

Somerset Boys Under 18s played against Glamorgan in the ECB Championship at Newport where batting first the hosts were all out for 330 , Joe Hyewood taking three for 49 , while James Theedom and Harvey Richards took two wickets apiece.
In reply the visitors were bowled out for 271 of which opener Ben Church made 45, Ben Mason 43, James Theedom hit 37 and Noah Lewis -Jones 27.
Batting for a second time Glamorgan reached 167 got six in 50.2 overs, Kian Roberts taking two for 36 off nine overs as the game ended in a draw.
Somerset Boys Under 16s travelled to Hamworthy to play against Dorset in the Group 3 of the ECB 50 over competition.

After choosing to bat Dorset were limited to 203 for eight Noah Lewis-Jones claiming three for 30 off his 10 overs with two maidens and Toby Harris taking three for 15 from 10 with three maidens.
In reply after losing Ralph Dunne for 19 with the total on 33 Sam Price with 30 and Freddie Stappard added 47 for the second wicket.
Stappard ,then added 53 for the third wicket with Nick Watson who hit 21, before he was out for 62 off 59 balls with eight 4s and one 6 with the total on 174.
Harvey Coleman with an unbeaten 31 and Lewis Townsend who remained 14 not out then saw Somerset to 207 in the 34th over to win by five wickets.
