Island-born cricketer scores career best double century against Hampshire


An Isle of Wight-born cricketer has beaten his career best innings with a double hundred for Worcestershire against Hampshire.

Adam Hose has made 200 runs in the County Championship Division One match at Southampton’s Utilita Bowl.

The batsman, coming in at number four, made the milestone from 208 deliveries, scoring 24 fours and four sixes in his remarkable feat.

He remains not out, currently on 252.

Hose formed a partnership with Worcestershire’s captain Jake Libby, making an unbroken 368 runs in 90 overs.

Adam grew up in Rookley and played for Ventnor Cricket Club, before he made the step up to Hampshire, Somerset and Warwickshire.
