Former Bulls duo announce retirement from Rugby League

TWO former Bradford Bulls players have called time on their rugby league careers.

Matty Garside and Gregg McNally are the two men in question, who both played for the Bulls between 2018-19.

The former made 40 appearances for the Odsal club across the two campaigns, while the latter featured on 13 occasions for Bulls during that time.

Garside most recently featured for the Dewsbury Rams, where he also turned to coaching having been appointed assistant at the start of the 2025 campaign.

As for McNally, he has been representing Rochdale Hornets in Betfred League One for the last couple of seasons.

Following the announcement that both players would be calling it a day at the end of the season, Bulls took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their gratitude for the players’ time at the club.

Bradford commented: “Congratulations to two former Bulls Matty Garside and Gregg McNally, who call time on their stellar Rugby League careers at the end of the season.

“We send our best wishes for all your future endeavours, gents!”

Garside has made a total of 265 career appearances, while McNally has made 334.
