A WINSFORD car supermarket is to have pride of place on the shirt and on the stadium of the Gallagher Premiership’s Sale Sharks.
Fords of Winsford has put pen to paper on a three-year sponsorship deal with the rugby union side’s men’s team and women’s team.
As of the season opener on September 25, the business’s branding will be on the sleeve of the 2025 / 2026 shirt, and on the north stand of the Salford Stadium.
The north stand is a short distance from its site on Barton Dock Road in Trafford Park, which is its second after its site on Weaver Valley Road in Wharton Park.

It is a business with family at its core and I am so excited to see what we can achieve together over the next three years.”
The car supermarket has almost 65 years of history since it was set up by Vernon Ford, whose grandsons Edward and John are the co-directors to this day.
It has had hundreds of thousands of customers in Wharton Park and in Trafford Park with a two-and-a-half-acre expansion in the works at the second site.
John Ford, the co-director of Fords of Winsford, said: “It is an exciting time for everyone at Fords of Winsford. I could not be happier to support a club that shares our values to succeed.”
