Winchmore Hill Cricket Club has celebrated 25 years of its annual Kwik Cricket Tournament.
A celebration, on Sunday, July 13, marked the milestone for the much-loved tradition that has introduced many generations of young players to the game.

The tournament was launched in 2000 by Glynis Culley, who still runs the event to this day.
To mark the occasion, Chris Edwards, a former colt and past winner of the tournament himself, gave an opening speech, thanking Glynis for her remarkable commitment to junior cricket and her unwavering dedication to the club.

The club have described the day calling it glorious, with “four pitches buzzing with activity, the smell of barbecue in the air, and the sound of enthusiastic cheers from players, parents and supporters”.

Alongside the cricket, families enjoyed sweet stalls, homemade cakes, a visit from the ice cream van, and refreshments from the bar, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Winchmore Hill Cricket Club were also very proud to have submitted their first ever all-girls team into the tournament.
International umpire Anna Harris attended and officiated both the Under-9 and Under-10 finals.
